Hello!  My name is Christy and I have been teaching for 15 years. I was a classroom teacher in Boston and Washington, DC and then worked as a reading specialist for students in K-5 when we moved to Wilmington, NC in 2005.  For the past 8 years, I have been a Gifted Education Specialist, which is my favorite role thus far!  I love working with students of all ages and collaborating with teachers across grade levels.

I am also a happy, busy, crazy mom and wife!  My family is the most important thing in the world to me! Thank you Gavin, Caitlin, and Molly for supporting me and my love for teaching and learning!  You are the best family a mom/wife/teacher could ask for!
